“Bob Bauer’s Outdoor World” web TV is now available! Log on to www.udetroit.com and if you’re not already signed up…do so!
On the front page you will notice a TV screen that is playing the latest program on Udetroit Television. To the right of the screen you will see four (4) tabs marked: On Demand, Schedule, Channels and Chat (which I will discuss another time.)
Click on Channels. You will see a menu of our channels: UDETROIT WEB TV, BORDERS MEDIA CAFE, THE FUNK BROTHERS, U DETROIT RADIO and BOB BAUERS OUTDOOR WORLD. Click on BOB BAUERS OUTDOOR WORLD. Actually you should click on all of them and check them all out…they are all really very good and keep in mind that this is all still in the development stages which means…it’s just going to get better!
Click on the BOB BAUERS OUTDOOR WORLD tab and you will see my outdoor web TV channel. This will be updated on a regular basis and will include some of my favorite “outdoor music”. Every outdoorsman I ever knew has a tape or a CD that they like to plug in and listen to their way to their next adventure. I hope you will share yours with me so I can post them here along with mine for everyone to enjoy…whatever get’s you jacked up to get out there and do whatever it is that you do out “where the pavement ends”. There will also be clips from my shows past and present. Some will be actual videos and some will be slide presentations that will fit the particular subject you are listening to. There will also be product demonstrations of the latest and greatest gear available…find out what’s hot and what’s not. (Hello…sponsors!)
There will also be videos from professional outdoorsmen AND some videos of your own stuff! I have the final say of what makes the cut and what doesn’t…period. It’s my show…the buck, so to speak, stops here. I am responsible for all content that runs on “Bob Bauers Outdoor World“ Any comments, suggestions…talk to me.
And just so you know…there will be kill shots and dead critters shown. We hunt with guns and bows…something is bound to die so if you have a problem with that…be forewarned. However, you won’t see rivers of blood and body parts strewn everywhere…not my style. At this point let me say this is not an all male exclusive club. It’s about everyone’s enjoyment in the outdoors. We like to focus on introducing women and children to our Outdoor World because they are the future of our sport. We like to encourage the guys to take their families with them. I hear from guys…and women, all the time “I don’t get enough face time with my family!”. Here’s a thought…go together! And by the way, when I say outdoorsmen I mean the ladies as well.
If you are an armature photographer and would like to learn how to get up close and personal with the wildlife you should be tuning us in as well. We will teach you our skills…you can’t go through the woods like Pattons 3rd Army OR smelling like a French perfume factory and expect to get close to the wildlife…there’s a reason they are called “wildlife”…they’re wild!

I will address prospective advertisers in another blog. It’s a new day boys and girls…you don’t have to spend your money anymore and hope to hit your target demo…we can bring them directly to you. That whole “scatter shot” thing…“run it up the flag pole and see if anyone salutes” tactic that “terrestrial” employs doesn’t work any more and is hopelessly outdated. And just because you’re on Facebook or you “tweete” doesn’t mean you are dialed in.

All that brings me to this. I’ve been telling you for months now that we are “close to launch”. “Bob Bauers Outdoor World” will air it’s fist series of programs live @ www.udetroit.com on Saturday, February 26th from the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi at Outdoorama. The first show will air from 12 noon to 2pm, eastern time, from the Great Lakes Bowhunters booth. The second show will air from 4 to 6pm the same day, from the KD Outdoors booth.
Hunting, fishing, cooking demonstrations, product demonstrations…all live as it happens. Both shows will be recorded and will run on my web TV page @ www.detroit.com so that you can see the segments whenever you want to.
